Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night Delayed to 2019, Vita Version Now Canceled

The highly-anticipated Kickstarter game Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night received a rather major new update now, and sadly most of it’s awful news.

Bloodstained’s producer Koji Igarashi announced via a new Kickstarter upgrade for the game that it has been pushed to 2019. Iga stated that the reason for this delay is because of feedback they received after discharging the beta to Kickstarter backers in which they understood that they now need to improve the game’s grade degree, which may take longer time than initially anticipated.

Iga stated that the reason behind this cancellation is, “largely due to Sony’s plans to stop the Vita console, finishing production of bodily copies and quitting certain online shop service attributes. ” That isn’t a surprising revelation however, it’s just one which still is a shame, yet. My thoughts have been with our former author, Azario Lopez, through this trying time.

If you endorsed the game onto Kickstarter and chose Vita as your platform, now you can choose a new platform to get the game upon when it launches or you can get your cash back. Expect an email from Fangamer soon to help you through this process.

Iga ended the post by stating that he apologizes to the disappointment with both these parts of information and assured fans that he and the staff are still working harder than ever before to provide them with the game they want. Delays like this are never enjoyable but if the final product reflects what it is both myself and many others wanted out of Iga’s go back to this genre, then I’ll be happy in the end.
